Kayla Malone
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor with a passion for helping individuals and families navigate the challenges of mental health, substance use, and life transitions. Currently, I’m a first-year doctoral student pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology, building on a strong academic foundation with master’s and dual bachelor’s degrees. As a first-generation college graduate, I’ve learned the value of perseverance, resilience, and determination, qualities that shape both my personal journey and my professional approach. Outside of my clinical work and studies, I’m the writer behind Still Here with Kayla Malone, where I share insights on overcoming adversity, embracing authenticity, and finding meaning in everyday life. I am also a proud mother, navigating both the joys and challenges of raising children, including supporting a son recently diagnosed with autism. These experiences deeply influence my perspective and keep me grounded in compassion and empathy. I believe in the power of honest reflection, resilience, and hope. Whether in the therapy room, through my writing, or in my personal life, I strive to create spaces where people feel seen, understood, and encouraged to keep moving forward, especially when life feels overwhelming. Still here, still moving forward.
